1966
SPORT 2000 is founded in France.
1998
SPORT DEPOT is founded. Exclusive distributor of Kettler for Bulgaria.
2003
SPORT DEPOT opens its first store in Sofia. Development of the fitness
equipment
distribution network.
2005
SPORT DEPOT becomes the exclusive representative of Lotto for Bulgaria and
begins developing its apparel and footwear assortment.
2006
SPORT DEPOT becomes the exclusive representative in Bulgaria of the brands Jack
Wolfskin, Lowa, Alpina, Helly Hansen, Ice Peak, and Elan.
2006 – 2009
SPORT DEPOT opens stores in Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, and Burgas, operating a
total of 8 stores in Bulgaria. Partnerships with adidas, Puma, and Nike.
2009
SPORT DEPOT becomes the official partner of SPORT2000 for Bulgaria.
2012
With new stores in Sofia, Veliko Tarnovo, and Pleven, SPORT DEPOT now operates 18
locations in Bulgaria. Exclusive representation of Champion for Bulgaria.
2013
SPORT DEPOT becomes the exclusive representative of Speedo and Nordica for Bulgaria.
2016
SPORT DEPOT becomes a representative of Fischer, Osprey, and Skechers.
2017
SPORT DEPOT launches the modern urban fashion chain District.
2019
SPORT DEPOT expands its business with a large store in Thessaloniki, Greece.
2020
SPORT DEPOT opens a third store in Plovdiv and now has 26 stores in Bulgaria.
2021
SPORT DEPOT opens its largest store, the SOFIA MEGA STORE, on Tsarigradsko Shose Blvd.
2022
SPORT DEPOT opens specialized football stores under the Absolute Teamsport brand.
2023
SPORT DEPOT becomes the official distributor of the PUMA brand for Bulgaria.
2024
SPORT DEPOT opens stores in Shumen, Haskovo, and Pernik and now has 33 stores in Bulgaria.
2025
SPORT DEPOT expands its network in Greece and now operates 12 SPORT2000 stores.
